Protecting media items from download
Technically speaking, savvy users can find new ways to either record online media or derive hidden links to media files and download them. However, there are a few things you can do to make it difficult for that to happen:
- Remove any links present on your site that would allow visitors to download the file easily.
- Offer the download links on a password-protected page only.
- Video: Consider a media service like YouTube or Vimeo, where download options aren't provided by default.
