FAQ

Why does my link redirect to the home page?

Causes

When a link redirects to the home page or a parent page, there are a few potential causes:

  • The resource (page, article, blog post, sermon, etc) doesn't actually exist in the CMS. Verify that the content exists and that it is published.
  • The resource exists but the URL is invalid.
  • The resource has been moved to another location on the site.
  • The resource is using the template designed for the home page (Index page).

Custom Error 404

To change where the users are directed in these scenarios, you can create your own error page and enable it under Admin > Account > 404 Error Page. This way, users will know that the content location has changed and that it's not an issue with their own system.
