Monk ID

General Information About Monk ID

Monk Development created Monk ID in an effort to enhance security and simplify the login process for community members. In our communication with our own clients we have continually heard the pain point of using multiple services and systems and having multiple logins across those services and systems.

We work with clients who use one system for their content management, another for online giving, another for their community groups, and so on. Each of these systems has their own login often consisting of a username/email and password unique to itself. For a church member to use these systems they have to manage accounts for each system, changing passwords on each system, etc… This often leads to members using insecure passwords, rarely changing them, or losing them and giving up on using the products and services you are using to engage them.

Our desire is to simplify this process for both administrators and members. Monk ID was created as a secure single-sign-on authentication system that can be utilized by multiple products and services. Simply put it's a login system that is designed to allow you to login to multiple products and services with a single email address and password. Our desire is that church members would be able to login to multiple products with the same email address and password while simultaneously being able to manage their information in each of those products independent of their login details. Forget having to manage multiple accounts across your various ministry products, use just one account to login to them all. We understand Monk ID is not 'instantly' going to be integrated into all of your ministries products and services.

We have begun by rolling out Monk ID to all Monk Development created products, including Ekklesia 360, Monk CMS, Cause 360, Cobblestone, Sermon Cloud, Church Cloud, Monk Donate, and Monk Checkout. We are also engaging with other industry leading platforms and products to see how Monk ID can be utilized in conjunction with their services to better serve you and your ministry.
